Lucky has lots of personality and is a clown at times. He loves attention and being with his person. He needs someone who will maintain consistency and is capable of dealing with a young minded horse. He does not need heavy handed person just someone confident,

She will begin working more on her feet for farrier, desensitizing, lunging and anything we can do to help make her the best horse she can be! She has been working on getting tacked and will be ready to back soon.

Teaching him about ground driving. He has had kids on him in the past before came back. He came in at 2 mo old and was adopted until his companion passed away.

WAYNE-- RED 

BREED: Thoroughbred

Age: 16   

Wayne came into the facility emaciated and had some wounds that have healed. He raced and then was ridden by someone who was not so kind on his mouth and back. He is working on trust and has been sat on and did small circles. We will continue his work forward to see how he does in saddle.

He handles very well on the ground, does well for farrier. 

SAMPSON

Sampson came in to the facility with buckshot in him. He has come a long way to approaching, haltering and leading. He was supposedly ridden a few times and drove cart. We will evaluate him to see how he does to confirm or not.

Meadow was born at the facility in 2007. Meadow was handled from birth so is used to people, kids have lead her with supervision.  Meadow was worked on lunging, and tacking but not backed/ridden.

Back in training to be restarted. We are working to find the RIGHT saddle for him that fits so no back issues and teaching that the girth is not a bad thing. He is doing really well and had rider in him at walk and moving up slowly.

Cleora was adopted out for several years and returned due to adopters health. We will put her back into production this spring and get her into a routine along with back to riding. She did well here years ago for lesson horse but we want to make sure she is back to that level

Erwyn came in 2015 as a young filly and was adopted out last year. She came back due to training issues and had a sore back. We are re-starting her by strengthening her back and having a rider of correct weight on her. 

CHALK

Chalk--GREEN

Age: 14


Chalk is a very quiet easy handle horse. Does well for farrier and vet. He has been ridden some but needs more time. He needs to learn that going forward is a good thing. (ridden before coming here with harsh bit) He has been ridden bitless and is doing well at walk,  trot, canter. The focus right now is teaching him leg aids and not focusing on reins. He is coming along nicely.

We were told he's been on trails (believe following another horse), picket line, trailers and loads.

Woody2--Yellow

Woody is sensitive to the weather changes. He gets a "belly ache" and needs a banamine injection or it can be given orally. If someone is familiar with this or we can teach you.

Woody has so much personality that he loves to be around people, loves being a jester and making you laugh. 

We have started ground work with him and hes doing ok for the farrier, has gotten much better. He is still young in his mind so needs someone who understands that and not abusive. He loves to just do things and be with you.

Donkeys

Laverne & Shirley

Laverne and Shirley came in together they will be adopted as a pair. They are still learning that people are "ok" and come up to get treats. Easy to walk into barn then get into a stall. We are doing this to work with them on haltering and not being so shy. Laverne the older is easier to do feet, groom, They younger is still working on feet issues (more afraid) We will continue to work with them as all of our donkeys. NO breeding clause.

Poncho & Lefty

Two Miniature donkeys who need someone special to spend lots of time bonding and gaining trust. Once they are caught they are handball but skittish at times. They were being worked  with all summer and doing well for the farrier. They need to be kept in a smaller area--large pen over 50ft or small fence area in order to work with them.

Adoption Fee: $150 for pair--must go as pair

GINGER-- YELLOW

BREED: QH Cross

Adoption Fee: $300

Age: 7

Ginger has SLD on her fronts so can not be ridden. She gets around very well, runs in the pasture. She is shy when she doesn't know you so can be elusive. Once she is caught she loves to be groomed and special attention shown to her. She makes a good companion to another horse.

TIPPER-- GREEN

BREED: Morgan

Adoption Fee: $350

Age: 11

Tipper was rescued from the Amish where his legs were "trashed" and he can not be ridden or driven. He is easy to handle on the ground, good for farrier and vet. He gives the impression he's mad by laying ears back but its a defense and if you scratch or massage him he loves the attention,. Tipper is a companion horse only.

Joy came to us in 2013 and was adopted out for a few years. She was prepared to back before left and did not get the training. She will be worked back into a routine and re-prepared. She also would make just a good companion horse if not interested in saddle work with her.
