PLEASE NOTE: We do not adopt out of state. Oklahoma only. If you are wanting to adopt and your intent is to use the horse in events such as Pony Express or other events that are abusive please don't apply. The horse's welfare is our foremost concern; Horse Feathers Equine Center reserves the right to refuse adoption to anyone. .

The horses that are adopted from our facility come with the following Up to Date:

teeth, farrier, coggins, vaccines.

Fees are set according to the horses training, health, and other factors we take into consideration. We strive to give you as much information on each horse as possible.

We ask that you come to spend time with the horse you are interested in and build a relationship to see if it is the "horse for you". We also have a height and weight limit for horses. Please research the size of horse you would need.

Check back often as horses come in at varying times. Also message us to see if we have updated here. We try to often but time is short when outside at facility.

Jiggs

Breed: Missouri Foxtrotter

Age: 27

Adoption Fee: $450

Jiggs is an older horse with some life left in him. He loves to go on light trails now at his age, will need to be reconditioned until we get some riders in to do so. He isn't fond of arena work. He is even something that you can just leisurely walk around the property on.

If not for riding he is a horse that once has attention would love to be groomed on and spend time with someone following you around.

Jiggs needs a special home with his own special person to spend with him in his golden years.

Arian

Breed: Possible Paso cross

Age: 2

Arian is a 2 year old filly. She is finally growing and slowly catching up after coming in emaciated and stunted. She has a long gorgeous mane and loves attention. She is starting her ground work this spring and has another year of growth before being backed. We are looking for someone who would like a Project horse to spend the time bonding and building before sitting on her. She deserves this chance after all she survived.

Application and contract required with strict NO breeding clause.

COMPANION ONLY

Ginger has SLD on her fronts so can not be ridden. She gets around very well, runs in the pasture. She is shy when she doesn't know you so can be elusive. Once she is caught she loves to be groomed and special attention shown to her. She makes a good companion to another horse.

COMPANION ONLY

Dude is a Mustang that was born in captivity and came in full of buckshot. He has not been trained for riding due to the metal in his hip area. He is curious and likes people.

Age: 18

COMPANION ONLY

Bayli came in from abandonment and appears to have been raced in her past, her tattoo is unidentifiable. She is a mare that can be a companion or just something for you to love on and spend time with.
