Companion Light Riding Special Needs

image16

These horses listed in this category are either for companions to a horse you have already, something for you to love and pet on, possible to lead a young kid on, or perhaps very light riding. This can be due to varying factors such as age or prior injuries/defects that prevent them from doing more. If you have questions about a particular horse please feel free to contact us.

In training now to move from companion section

Woody2--Yellow

Breed: Mustang

Adoption Fee: $500

Age: 4

Woody is sensitive to the weather changes. He gets a "belly ache" and needs a banamine injection or it can be given orally. If someone is familiar with this or we can teach you.

Woody has so much personality that he loves to be around people, loves being a jester and making you laugh.

We have started ground work with him and hes doing ok for the farrier, has gotten much better. He is still young in his mind so needs someone who understands that and not abusive. He loves to just do things and be with you.

GINGER

GINGER-- YELLOW

BREED: QH Cross

Adoption Fee: $300

Age: 7

Ginger has SLD on her fronts so can not be ridden. She gets around very well, runs in the pasture. She is shy when she doesn't know you so can be elusive. Once she is caught she loves to be groomed and special attention shown to her. She makes a good companion to another horse.

Joy

JOY: GREEN

BREED: Paint

Adoption Fee: $350

Joy came to us in 2013 and was adopted out for a few years. She was prepared to back before left and did not get the training. She will be worked back into a routine and re-prepared. She also would make just a good companion horse if not interested in saddle work with her.

TIPPER

TIPPER-- GREEN

BREED: Morgan

Adoption Fee: $350

Age: 11

Tipper was rescued from the Amish where his legs were "trashed" and he can not be ridden or driven. He is easy to handle on the ground, good for farrier and vet. He gives the impression he's mad by laying ears back but its a defense and if you scratch or massage him he loves the attention,. Tipper is a companion horse only.
